The ChinaFile site

ChinaFile is a new not-for-profit, English-language, online magazine published by the Center on U.S.-China Relations at the Asia Society. The editors are Orville Schell and Leah Thompson.

This new multimedia site is about China in the U.S. and elsewhere in the English-speaking world. It covers a wide range of discipline and topics, such as Arts, Education, Health, Media, Religion, Society, etc. and proposes articles, photos, videos.

 

 

There is a virtual library with presentations of books by theirs authors. Our readersll be might be interested by the presentation of Judith Shapiro’s book China’s Environmental Challengesor Giles Chance’s  China and the Credit Crisis. The Emergence of a New World Order.

Twice weekly, The ChinaFile Conversation brings together a group of experts to discuss and debate the news of the day in real time like “Airpocalypse Now: China’s Tipping Point? A ChinaFile Conversation” with several scholars: Alex Wang,  Orville Schell, Elizabeth Economy, Michael Zhao, James Fallows, Dorinda Elliott.

ChinaFile is a very rich and well organised site which will be useful for all of us.

Asia Society’s Center on U.S.-China Relations marked the launch of its new website ChinaFile Tuesday night by bringing together a panel of former and current New York Times correspondents whose collective China experience spans the course of half a century.
